Blue Heart Care Group is proud to announce that we are now recognised as a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2), marking an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to equality, inclusion, and fair access to employment within health and social care.

What Is the Disability Confident Scheme?

The Disability Confident scheme is a UK Government initiative that supports employers to recruit, retain, and develop people with disabilities and long‑term health conditions. Achieving Level 2 (Disability Confident Employer) demonstrates that we have taken clear, measurable action to create an inclusive and supportive workplace.

At Level 2, we have formally committed to:

  • Removing unnecessary barriers from our recruitment and selection processes
  • Offering reasonable adjustments to support staff to perform at their best
  • Supporting flexible and inclusive working arrangements where possible
  • Encouraging open conversations around disability, mental health, and wellbeing
  • Promoting a culture where people feel safe, valued, and supported at work

Working Towards Disability Confident Level 3

While we are proud to be recognised as a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2), we are clear that this is not the end of our journey. Our ambition is to progress to Disability Confident Leader (Level 3), and we are confident in our ability to achieve this.

Reaching Level 3 means not only embedding inclusive practice within our own organisation, but also actively influencing and supporting disability inclusion across the wider health and social care sector.
